| Favorite Activity - Looking out the window all day |
At the end of 2016, we knew we were ready for another dog and started to look into various rescues. J really wanted a pug, which is his ultimate favorite dog in the world. We applied and had a home visit, and then never heard back from the rescue. It was was disappointing in the least and completely frustrating compared to the experience I had when I went through a rescue for my little guy.
As we waited to hear from the pug rescue, we decided to check out local shelters in our area. We decided to keep an open mind when it came to type of dog, as long as it was on the small/medium size.
We visited two shelters, and fell in love at the second one. Our floof was brand new to the shelter and didn't even have her picture in their book yet. Love at first site and we filled out the application papers that same day.
We anxiously waited two weeks to find out if she was ours. We had to bring our little guy for a meet & greet and have a home visit. We weren't the only family to apply for her. We got the call on a Thursday afternoon, while I was in the throws of the flu, that the floof was ours.
She made herself right at home, and we also realized she is a runner. Can't let that girl out of the house without a leash to save your life or you'll be chasing her down the block. Despite her love of running she is the best and happiest dog. She definitely makes life interesting.
