I wanted to use this blog as a way to document our family as it grows and to be able to look back at all the amazing things that have happened. I probably should have started this when we became pregnant with our daughter EV in 2018, but life has a way of doing its' own thing.
J, my husband, and I have been together for 11 years - 4 of which have been marital bliss. We met in college, survived 6 years being in a long distance relationship, and have been killing it since settling down in our current town, which happens to be my home town.
Our little family was just the two of us, and my chiweenie. In 2017, we added another dog to the mix and became a family of four. Going from having a little dog that is essentially a shadow to a hyper mutt that needs all the attention was quite the adjustment. I honestly loved that my little guy decided he loved our new dog enough that he actually plays with her. Unheard prior to the nut joining our family.
After being married for two years, we started trying to expand our family even more. We found out in early 2018 we were expecting and could not wait.
EV came into the world a month early, and it was an experience to say the least. Our little girl is such a fighter and very determined. She does have two medical conditions, but they do not stop her in the least. EV has hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy, specifically right hemiplegia. You wouldn't know if you looked at her that she has these things going on.
So, that is us in a bit of a nutshell. Expect to see posts about family adventures, EV's therapy journey, and dogs being cute/silly.
