Three Years

Favorite Activity - Looking out the window all day Sometimes it's hard to imagine a time when our floof was not a part of our family. Wednesday marked three years since we got to bring her home. At the end of 2016, we knew we were ready for another dog and started to look into various rescues. J really wanted a pug, which is his ultimate favorite dog in the world. We applied and had a home visit, and then never heard back from the rescue. It was was disappointing in the least and completely frustrating compared to the experience I had when I went through a rescue for my little guy. As we waited to hear from the pug rescue, we decided to check out local shelters in our area. We decided to keep an open mind when it came to type of dog, as long as it was on the small/medium size.  We visited two shelters, and fell in love at the second one. Introduction - Our Family

I wanted to use this blog as a way to document our family as it grows and to be able to look back at all the amazing things that have happened. I probably should have started this when we became pregnant with our daughter EV in 2018, but life has a way of doing its' own thing. J, my husband, and I have been together for 11 years - 4 of which have been marital bliss. We met in college, survived 6 years being in a long distance relationship, and have been killing it since settling down in our current town, which happens to be my home town. Our little family was just the two of us, and my chiweenie. In 2017, we added another dog to the mix and became a family of four. Going from having a little dog that is essentially a shadow to a hyper mutt that needs all the attention was quite the adjustment.
